Shortlisted for a British Award for storytelling excellence, Amanda has written & told stories for The Scottish Ballet, Edinburgh International Science festival, the National Museum of Rural life, amongst others, she regularly works in schools, botanic gardens & unexpected places across Britain & beyond. A former student of herbal medicine Amanda loves retelling stories that feature plants & loves using history, fairy tales & folklore to create new tales & inspire new audiences. Her sessions involve interesting & unusual multi-sensory props...prepare to be surprised by unexpected noises, smells & objects from fantastic places. Amanda is currently involved in creating a voluntary code of practice for storytellers working in education with The Scottish Storytelling centre & regularly delivers exciting workshops in schools & nurseries designed to raise attainment in literacy & creativity Amanda tells tales to all ages & hopes to leave everyone wanting to find more stories for themselves.
