Heather Sharpe is a highly experienced Storyteller who takes the old tales - folk tales, wonder tales, myths and legends - from many times and places, and tells them in new ways, for adults and children.

She has performed in venues ranging from the West Yorkshire Playhouse to parks and forests, Universities, Storytelling Clubs and festivals and has worked extensively in educational settings, in Primary, High and Special Schools.

She offers high energy workshops and courses designed to develop the skills of oral storytelling and incite creative re-telling and storymaking.

She has provided courses for parents and innovative Inset for teachers, designed for example, to harness the power of an evolving storytelling tradition to create a sense of belonging and affirm the identity of young people in the inner city, and to explore mythology to develop critical thinking.

She is a contributing lecturer for the Foundation Degree in ‘Narrative and Communication at Trinity and All Saints College, Leeds’.
