Polly Howat is a professional performance storyteller and the author of six folklore and legend books. She has taken her stories to many countries and her repertoire is wide ranging, working with adults and children of all ages and ability. Stories told to young children are interactive, often with large puppets.
Commissioners include schools, colleges, British Council, Cambridge University, television programme makers, heritage, environmental and voluntary organisations, commerce, storytelling clubs, local authorities, arts centres, libraries, museums, storytelling and creative writing workshops and inset training for teachers.
She is a regular contributor to local radio and a speaker on the folklore of the Fens and East Anglia.
