Terrie Howey is a professional performance storyteller, whose love of
telling tales stems from a young age. Having trained and worked in
theatre for over 16yrs and storytelling for 6yrs, she combines her
skills in both areas to create magical bespoke performances and
workshops for all ages and abilities. She is at home when in front of an
audience and happy to perform in almost any situation.
As a performer, educator, and dramaturg, Terrie offers her skills
freelance besides utilising them in her own performances and workshops
to produce events for all manner of occasions from light-hearted fun to
educational. Her career has led her to perform and teach performing arts
all over the world and given scope for a broad repertoire of stories and
projects which are being added to all the time as new challenges arise.
Terrie often performs under the pseudonym Red Phoenix and is happy to
perform anywhere in the UK and beyond when the opportunity arises.

discovery centres, historic and heritage sites, and country parks. Shows
and workshops can be tailored to suit any theme, and tales can be
selected or created to suit client’s themes and projects. For more
details see the website. She has recently developed an interactive
story/adventure quest to celebrate the bicentenary of Charles Darwin
which can be taken to a myriad of venues.
Testimonials:
“Mystery, atmosphere, anticipation, intrigue - these are words which
children cannot spell, however once they have discovered Red Phoenix
they will know what these words mean, as they will have felt it! The
experience enables the children to use their imagination to really be
part of the stories.” Teacher
“We knew as soon as we met Terrie that the event would be a success. Her
