A warrior maiden dreams about snakes, but what does the dream mean? Is it a blessing or is it a curse?

Since the beginning, serpents have been both feared and revered. Sensuous, slippery and often dangerous, their gifts can be either dark or light. So when a girl marries a dead man and a kingdom falls into ruin, can a serpent be trusted? And what should you do when you meet the Mistress of Snakes?

Interweaving storytelling, ritual and evocative music, A Spell In Time welcomes you to the realm of the snake – death-bringer, life-giver and the beginning and end of all things.

A Spell In Time is an acclaimed British-Bulgarian storytelling company that brings the power and magic of Bulgaria’s myths and folk tales to UK audiences for the first time. Performers are: Moni Sheehan, storyteller and Ivor Davies, musician.

"Glorious storytelling and music...the stars, the moon and the lamp-posts leaned down to listen." Nell Phoenix, StoryNight at Torriano
