Amanda has written & told stories for The Scottish Ballet, Edinburgh International Science festival, the National Museum of Rural life, amongst others, she regularly works in museums, schools, botanic gardens, care homes & unexpected places across Britain & beyond. A former student of herbal medicine Amanda loves retelling stories that feature plants & loves using history, fairy tales & folklore to create new tales & inspire new audiences. Her sessions involve interesting & unusual multi-sensory props...plants, herbs to taste and smell and heritage objects appear as part of the storytelling process. Amanda regularly delivers exciting workshops in schools & nurseries designed to raise attainment in literacy & creativity, she has enhanced disclosure to work with schools and vulnerable groups and loves tailoring sessions to fit with topics and projects.
